Hallo dear!

Before we get into the blogpost, let me talk to you a bit and talk about a person I once had in my life.

This person was a ? I didn’t really know whether to call the person a friend or a close friend or an acquaintance. I remember having my brain freeze when thinking of which word to use to describe the person. Anyways, many moons later, I gave the person a strange name – a name so strange that it either sounded like rotten bread or a beautiful ballerina in a nice pink attire with grey stars.

Now, let’s get to business.

Today I’m going to ask a few useless questions and answer them myself. Get ready to kill some time!

1. What Happened to the Windows Startup Sound?

I have no idea. I didn’t even notice that the startup sound isn’t there anymore. Coming to think of it, this really sucks. I remember that when I was a kid, the thing that made me love use our computer so much was the startup sound. It was magical. I actually looked for all the Windows startup sounds the other day and it was such a lovely exercise. Brought back so many good memories.

2. Why are there so many Programmers?

Well, this is actually a good question. You see, the world has changed. I’m not talking about climate change, I’m talking about technology. There is what is called the 4^th industrial revolution, and this revolution is driven by data.

Wait! I’m not going to bore you to death for much longer. Hold on.

So in this revolution, people who are able to make sense of that data are going to become the masters. How?

Here’s how

You spend the greater part of your day on your phone (yes you do. Don’t lie to yourself). Imagine if a company knew that everyday at 5.00pm, you buy a pack of noodles from Choppies and spend the next 2 hours waiting for transport to get you home.

Imagine if that company knew that there are 500 individuals just like you who buy similar things and also spend 2 hours waiting for transport.

That company could then develop products and services that would be irresistible to you. That, ladies and gentlemen is why companies love harvesting data from us.

That is one of the many reasons that people venture into programming.

Programming also allows for you to:

• Automate tasks e.g. making an application that tells you to polish your shoes everyday at 5pm,
• Create services that other people find useful e.g. an online calculator that converts inches to centimetres,
• Show off that you can use a computer in a super cool way

Who Owns Yogueta?

 Just in case you don’t know what this is, Yogueta was a very popular brand of lollipops back in the day (when the cartoon shows Winx Club and Dragon Ball – Z were still hot).

I have no idea why I was looking for this, but I discovered that Yogueta isn’t a company. It’s actually a brand owned by a Colombian company called Aldor.

What Will Happen if you Photocopy a Mirror, Water?

For a mirror – you will get a white sheet of paper with a black square where you put the mirror.

For the Water – you will get a strange looking piece of paper that kinda looks wet from a distance

What do you do when someone doesn’t want to give you back your money?

Nothing. You walk away and cut your losses.

Most people would say the best option would be to beat the living daylights out of the other guy, but I wouldn’t advise you to do that. Here’s why:

#1 You can end up getting beaten up. Yes. By the person who owes you money. It actually happens.

#2 You probably won’t get your money back.

If you really insist, go to a lawyer and see how you can garnish his or her money, or get some sort of an order to get the person arrested if they fail to pay up.

How to Sleep for 8 hours in 1 hour

When I saw several articles answering this google search query with various tips, tricks and strategies, I came to believe that there are many among us that take drugs. Powerful drugs.

Where do we go when we sleep?

No, no, no! I’m not going down that rabbit hole today.

Well, aren’t those questions useless? These are some of the many questions that I have in my mind. Poor brain.
